Hey y'all!! I talked to Katie today, and one of the things she asked me to do after we got off the phone was to write a blog post asking specifically for prayer. So here it is: Support raising has come to a stand still for me. I'm doing all I know to do, but now I'm going to do even more. I've been getting a lot of ideas from what all of you have been doing, but now it's time for implement some of those ideas myself. So I'm asking for prayer for a few things: 1) That I would remain faithful to listening to God, and willing to do whatever He leads me to do. 2) That God would set up divine appointments so that I run into the right people at the right time who may be able to either support me or help me with support raising. 3) That God would give me fresh and effective ideas for raising support in this last month before 100% funding is needed. 4) That God would soften my dad's heart. He is completely and totally against this trip (he is not saved), and therefore refuses to help in any way, especially financially. Living under the same roof as someone who is so against this  makes it pretty difficult on some days. There have honestly been moments where I've wanted to give up even trying because I let what he says affect me. 5) That God would give me a fresh strength each day. I'm a full time student, work 30 hours a week, and hardly have time to get my studying done let alone any fundraising work. God is definitely using this time to really teach me how to make the most of my time, but please be praying that I would somehow have a special strength to get me through the next 50 days of getting everything done.

A couple of weeks ago, Nick posted the questions: Do you feel you are supposed to be here? and Do you feel God has called you to this? My answer to both then was "yes" and my answer to both now is still "yes". Unless I hear directly from God that He doesn't want me going this summer, I will not stop praying and I will not stop working to get to fully funded. I covet your prayers in the next 30 days. I'm praying for you all and for us as a team, and cannot wait to be in Kenya, where all of this will just be a distant memory, yet a strong reminder of how faithful God is when He calls us to do something.
