Hello everyone, my name is Victoria! I’m so excited to meet each of you and to serve God alongside you in AFRICA this summer!!!
Here are some things you may like to know about me…
-I always go by Victoria or “Big Cat” if we’re playing a game of Dutch Blitz.
-I’m from Maine! But I don’t have a Mainah’s accent which is wicked sad.
-I currently live in Massachusetts and attend Eastern Nazarene College as a sophomore Psych major.
-I’m a Resident Assistant to freshman women at ENC and I love them to bits and pieces!
-I love to paint! Specifically African babies/children—I just think they’re so beautiful and precious.
-I might have an addiction to chocolate…and by might I mean definitely.
-Right after I had my interview for AIM I poured out a bunch of M&M’s onto my desk from one of those plastic Christmas candy canes, and they formed Africa. Not kidding. I have a picture.
-I'm a big fan of the game Ninja and hope to play it in Kenya at least once :)
-I had never been on a plane until this week! I went to Kentucky to sing with the Gospel Choir that I’m a part of. I figured I should do the whole flying thing at least once before I’m on a plane for 20 something hours heading to Africa.
-I’m SO excited about KENYA! I can’t believe God has placed this opportunity in front of me! Man oh man, is He incredible.
-I love the outdoors! Canoeing, kayaking, hiking, swimming, snowshoeing, picnicking on mountain tops…it all sounds wonderful to me!
-I love the movie UP and I’m super excited to start my journey as a “Wilderness Explorer” in Africa!
-The author Donald Miller has been inspiring me to live my life as a better story, one that someone else might like to read one day. I want to live a story that I’m not ashamed to tell God when I meet Him, one that He would like very much.
-I hope to be forever changed in Kenya. I want to be closer to God than I have ever been or have ever imagined I could be. I hope to grow a greater passion for people of this world.
-I’m looking forward to giving my life over to God this summer as a servant and being challenged, broken, and put back together again as something new and something better.
I hope this lets you know a little bit more about me, and I look forward to getting to know each of you as Kenya draws closer and closer! By the way....I kind of love exclamation points and I'm a big fan of using them when I'm super excited!
