Hello! My name is Alexandra Desirae Lerma, but I usually just go by Alex. I was born and raised in a small town by the name of Kingman, in the wonderful state of Arizona. Currently, I still reside in my hometown. Upon graduating high school, I'd decided that taking a gap year would be in my best interest. I wanted to make sure I devoted a year to God before stepping into that important next phase of life, this being a promise made to both Him and myself. This fall, I will be beginning classes at my local community college. Ultimately I would like to start my own Christian clothing line.

In the realm of employment, I babysit Saturday - Tuesday, and additionally as needed throughout the rest of the week. It's not much, but every little bit helps.

When I'm not babysitting, you'll most likely find me doing something art-related. I love being creative, whether it be though drawing, painting, crocheting, sewing, making jewelry, or doing photography. Being outdoors is another thing I absolutely enjoy. I love to swim, hike, and camp. Going offroading and mud-sledding is quite entertaining as well. Softball and football are pretty great, regarding sports. However, my favorite has always been soccer; I've played for about 8 years.

I also like to read.. many would probably consider me a book worm. Playing the piano is another thing I enjoy, although I am nothing more than a self-taught amateur. Learning to play the guitar or drums would also be neat. String beans and mushrooms would be near the top of my list of dislikes.. along with spiders.

This trip to Kenya would be my first mission trip. I'm excited, as I know God is going to radically impact not only me, but this team and the people we meet throughout this journey. It's going to be an unforgettably humbling adventure that will be sure to hold a place in our hearts for many years to come. I can't wait to meet you all and for this summer!
